| Woodbury,
NY -- March 15, 2006-- Pet Peeves' Inc. “The
Voice of Long Island’s
Pets” has announced
that its 4th Annual Furry Tails Can Come True Gala will take
place on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, at the Crest Hollow
Country Club, in Woodbury, New York. Fonder and President,
Janine Dion, is also pleased to announce that The Roslyn Savings
Foundation has graciously agreed to serve as the “Best
in Show” sponsor for the event, providing a $15,000 donation
to Pet Peeves.
“We are so fortunate to have the generous support of
our friends at The Roslyn Savings Foundation,” remarked
Dion. Their generosity enables Pet Peeves to further its mission
of protecting Long Island’s abused and neglected animals
and its support of the organizations with whom we share common
goals and we are forever grateful for their amazing generosity.”
Sharon
G. Grosser, Executive Director of The Roslyn Savings Foundation
stated, “Support of organizations like Pet Peeves is
critical for the well-being of these vulnerable creatures.
We have all heard too many horror stories about animals being
abused and neglected, but little of the amazing work of the
numerous dedicated volunteers who help animals in need. The
Roslyn Savings Foundation
applauds the efforts of these individuals who are out there
working in the trenches every day, often with little help or
support. Working with Pet Peeves, we hope to lighten the financial
burden for some of these groups.”
Sponsorships are still available for Furry Tails Can Come True.
The proceeds from this event will enable Pet Peeves, Inc, to
provide much needed financial support to non-profit animal
rescue groups, no-kill shelters, humane education and pet therapy
programs on Long Island. At last year’s gala, more than
$50,000 in grants were issued to local organizations that aid
animals in need. In addition, a special $5,000 emergency grant
was issued to Noah’s Wish for
aid to the animal victims of Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf
States.
The Furry Tails Can Come True Fundraiser is a unique event
which blends a festive atmosphere with delicious food and amazing
raffles prizes as many prominent businesspeople, volunteers,
and other concerned individuals come out for a one-of-a-kind
event. Tickets are $100.00 each and must be purchased in advance.
There are no ticket sales at the door. For details, please
