Second
Event Successful for Pet Peeves
"The Voice of Long
Island Pets"
Woodbury, NY--Over 200 people attended Pet Peeves
Inc., "the voice of Long Island pets" second annual
fundraiser, "Furry Tails Can Come True," on October
16th, at Crest Hollow Country Club. The event brought in over
$46,000 which will be used to help the abused, abandoned and
neglected pets of Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
Janine Dion, Director of Sales & Marketing
at the Crest Hollow Country Club, who founded this 501 (c)
(3) not for profit charity, was overwhelmed with the response.
"Thank you once again to everyone who supported our second
successful event, despite the Yankees playoff game being televised
that same evening!" said Dion.
A highlight of the evening was the unveiling
of the Pet Peeves Critter Calendar and holiday cards, which
are on sale now.
"A very special thank you to all of our
sponsors including Roslyn Savings Foundation, Pet Pantry and
Care of America," continued Dion. "With the assistance
of my Board of Directors and all the pet lovers across Long
Island, the next segment of our mission can begin shortly.
This will include school/community humane education programs
and pet therapy programs in hospitals and nursing homes."
