10, 2006- Pet Peeves' Inc. "The Voice of Long Island Pets" is
proud to announce the release of its 2006 Critter Calendar. The
beautiful color glossy pet calendar was formally unveiled at
the "Furry Tails Can Come True" gala held at the Crest Hollow
Country Club in September.
Now on sale, the calendar features photos submitted by Long Island pet owners
and is a visual delight. Each month features a beloved "pet of the Month," selected
from among more than 100 entries, by a panel of prestigious professional photographers.
The calendars are just $10 each and are available for purchase through the Pet
Peeves website at www.petpeevesinc.org .
The proceeds from the calendar sales will enable Pet Peeves to provide grants
and further its work in support of long island's abandoned, neglected and unwanted
pets.
Critter Calendar sales proceeds have contributed to the success of Pet Peeves'
fund-raising efforts to date. "In our mere three years of operation, we are proud
to state that we have distributed nearly $100,000 in grants to Long Island's
animal rescue groups and no-kill shelters, enabling these volunteers to rescue,
care for, spay and find permanent loving homes for these desperate and deserving
animals," said Pet Peeves founder Janine Dion.
Pet Peeves, Inc. is a non-profit umbrella organization that raises funds in support
of rescue groups, no kill shelters and humane education and pet therapy initiatives. Its
board is completely volunteer driven allowing nearly all funds raised to directly
support its stated mission. Please visit www.petpeevesinc.org for details on
upcoming events or for information on how to get involved.
