Jericho, NY – June 4, 2007 – Janine
Dion, Founder and President of Pet Peeves, the “voice
for Long Island pets,” is pleased to announce that Coldwell
Banker Residential Brokerage Cares has selected Pet Peeves
as a recipient of proceeds from the residential brokerage’s
Fall Classic First Annual Benefit Golf Outing. Joe Mamone,
president and COO of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage,
announced the company’s pledge to divide the proceeds
of their annual fundraising efforts between Pet Peeves, Make-A-Wish,
and 1-in-9 Breast Cancer Action Coalition, at their annual
trade show where they kicked off this special fundraising initiative.
“The board members and I are delighted that Joe Mamone, Kim Graf, and
our friends at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage have
chosen us to be beneficiaries of their charitable
efforts,” remarked Janine Dion. “It is
truly an honor to be among these fine charitable organizations.
The funds provided will enable us to continue our efforts to
compassionately connect people and pets through our support
of pet therapy initiatives, animal rescue groups, no-kill shelters,
and humane education programs here on Long Island.”
Therapy Dog “Charlotte,” a Golden
Retriever, was at the trade show to pose for photos and help
raise funds and awareness. As an avid animal lover and proud “Daddy” of
his own Chocolate Lab, “Dixie” and Llasa Apso, “Puddles,” Joe
Mamone remarked, “I am really impressed with Pet Peeves
and its message as a whole. Most importantly, that Pet
Peeves’ primary focus is raising awareness, and that
all the funds raised for animal groups on Long Island go to
pet-related initiatives, and not to pay salaries. The
fact that Pet Peeves is so eager to work with its partners
proves the dedication and business acumen of the organization
as well.”
The Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares First Annual
Fall Golf Classic will be held at The Meadow Brook Club in
Jericho on Tuesday, October 9th 2007. For more information,
