Woodbury, NY— July 11, 2005 - Pet Peeves, Inc. “the voice of Long Island pets” recently announced its grant recipients for 2005. Each year, Pet Peeves endows worthy companion organizations whose programs support abused and neglected animals as well as humane education and pet therapy initiatives.
The named recipients for 2005 are The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Inc., Glen Cove Animal Lovers’ League, Kent Animal Shelter, Last Hope Rescue, the Pig Placement Network and Rocky’s Fund Dog Rescue.
Janine Dion, Founder and President of Pet Peeves commented, “I am thrilled that the success of our fund raising efforts has enabled us to donate more than $50,000.00 to such deserving organizations. Pet Peeves is proud to support them and enable them to continue to work on behalf of so many animals in need.”
The donations will be formally awarded at Pet Peeves third annual gala, “Furry Tails Can Come True.” which will be held at the Crest Hollow Country Club on September 20, 2005. This event, generously sponsored by the Roslyn Savings Foundation, blends a festive atmosphere with delicious food and amazing raffle prizes, as many prominent businesspeople, volunteers and concerned individuals come out for this unique event.
