13, 2006 - Pet Peeves, Inc. “the voice of Long
Island Pets” is proud to announce that its 4th annual “Furry
Tails” gala raised in excess of $100,000 to aid Long
Island’s abused, neglected and unwanted animals and to
support local Pet Therapy programs. This amazing event,
held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, brought
in a sold-out crowd of more than 375 people.
At the event, grants were issued totaling more than $72,000,
including first-time grants to two Long Island based Pet Therapy
programs sponsored by Family Residence Essential Enterprise
(FREE) and United Cerebral Palsy (UCP). This year’s
other recipients are: All About Spay Neuter, For Our Friends,
Glen Cove Animal Lover’s League, Kent Animal Rescue,
LI Cat Project, Last Hope and Save-A-Pet.
Janine Dion, Founder and President of Pet Peeves commented, “I
am thrilled that the continued success of our fund raising
efforts has enabled us to donate more than $72,000 to such
deserving organizations. Pet Peeves is proud to support
them and enable them to continue their work on behalf of the
animals in need. We are also delighted to be partnering and
supporting worthy organizations and their Pet Therapy initiatives.”
The proceeds of this year’s “Furry Tails Can Come
True” gala will enable Pet Peeves to make further grants

Pet Peeves, Inc. is a not for profit umbrella organization
that raises funds in support of no kill shelters, rescue groups,
humane and pet therapy programs. Its board is completely
